Blogmeet!
This afternoon I managed to drag my long suffering wife out to meet some of what Tam calls “Imaginery people”. Not surprisingly, she found the crew we went to meet more entertaining than me, but she came back home with me anyway.
May I first of all say, that meeting Tam and Roberta in person was all you might expect, and more, and frankly, I’m surprised there arent already restraining orders being sworn out.
OK, maybe they are.
Good to see M Alger again, and see his pictures of the project in progress.
The balance of the party I’ll leave to people who were there ON TIME, since I managed to forget about the damned time difference and show up more than a half hour late.
Thanks for the hospitality and the comradeship, ladies and gents, and thanks for allowing me to invite myself.

They say the colored dye from the pepper spray will wash right out with a bit of lime juice & water.
It was, indeed, a grand time.
Thanks for the tip.
I’m assured by several people that it is NOT AT ALL uncommon to have cartridges in your pocket. Of several calibers.
Nope, not uncommon at all. I’ve always liked Tam’s line, commenting on a Brit who was arrested possessing 50 rounds (or was it 500?) of .22: “I’ve got that much rolling around loose in the trunk of my car!” I get funny looks at work when I take something out of my purse and spent brass comes jingling out. Sheesh.
It was a pleasure to meet you and Mrs. Og; I shall never look at lava lamps in quite the same way.
Sounds like a Grand Time! Og, you need to get down to Texas sometime :)
And yeah, it’s not uncommon at all for me to have a few various calibers of cartridges, as well as a few of spent brass, in my jeans pockets at any given time.
You wouldn’t have wanted me there this weekend…I had a horrendous cold and spreading it would not have been the most neighborly thing to do.
Glad a good time was had by all.
Nate, I can’t speak for everyone but I’d have loved to have met you there.
Of course we would haver made you sit 30 feet away and thrown bits of food at you.
and will you & Mrs. Og be in attendance at the June festivities?
Assuming we are still alive. At least me, anyway.
Hope to see you all there/then.
It was great meeting you on Saturday. My wife and I had a great time. Don’t feel bad, there is a .45 cartridge in the change jar on the washing machine from a few weeks ago. We are still fighting about if it was mine, my wifes, my mother-in-laws or my father-in-laws.
I am going to try and come to the next meeting if at all possible.Someone has to keep an eye on you know who. And I’d really like to meet Mrs. Og.

SWMBO, I doubt I’ll get her to repeat the appearance. Hanging out with a dozen people talking about shit that interests her not at all? Not likely.
Then she can talk to me.Maybe I can interest her.How did you get her to go to this past meeting ?

Gee. I thought she would have had a great time. She sure wowed ’em correcting your … er … memory lapses.
M
Just differences of perspective, not so much memory lapses.
Mark and I have those all the time.Memory lapses and hearing losses AND perspective differences.Keeps it interesting, doesn’t it ?
