I have just
set up a new blogspot blog called “Made in America”
The purpose is to report on, promote, and review products made in America.
I’m hoping to get contributors, I think Mr B will participate as he has indicated his interest.
The rules are simple, really. Positive reviews of good quality products made right here. I’ve tried to start the ball rolling wiht two of my favorite products, Danner Boots and Cabelas socks. If you want to expound on products anyone has already reviewed, do so in comments, don’t add a new post. If you have found a product to avoid, post that too, but keep it civil. And you cannot receive money for favorable reviews.
I don’t know if this will come off as self promotion since I had my hand in it, but the Rackulator ( http://www.rackulator.com ) was designed and manufactured right here in the U.S.
So it has been written, so it shall be done.
Something I recently purchased is the Chop Rite meat grinder. American made for over 100 years. Quality made cast iron beauty. I bought the #22 grinder and several extras. I turned about 35lbs of venison into burger in about 10 minutes.
It is an old style hand cranked unit, with option to mount a pulley and power with an electric motor.
About the cost of a cheap electric model, but I don’t see how you could wear it out.
Thanks, Roger!
Thanks, Og!
Will the first person anyone can find who actually purchases a Chevy Volt please write it up here? I would like to see a non-hyped report on just how far it does or doesn’t go on it’s battery charge.
Also, name the fool bank which loaned you the money to buy one….
…and, Og, could you please post some instructions on your blog about how we make a direct post to it, and not have to come back to this post on your main blog to get published?
This new blog of yours could turn out to be the best public service on the ‘Net, easily outstripping Facebook. Better buy an Armani suit, dude, you will be Man of the Year in 11 months….
Good idea, Dog, I’ll have to get something set up.
well, surpringly I bought staples today (heavy duty construction grade) and they’re made in the USA. Arrow T-50s
OK, well, nothing really exciting about that, but…
this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdAr9ZnEZ88

And the hummingbird is made here, too.
