Whip it out
Take the knife out of your pocket and take a picture of it, and post it. Or post a picture of the same knife from a brochure or whatever.
No, not your favorite knife, or your prettiest, but the one that never leaves your side. Mine’s a Schrade 897 Uncle Henry, made in USA, from when they still were made in the USA. it’s stainless because I can’t find carbon steel ones anymore.

I have a handful I bought at gunshows. I buy them when I see them, and keep a reserve supply on hand. it’s the knife I always have.
If you don’t have a blog but would like to show off your knife, send me a picture at mhardig at aol dot com and I’ll post it here.
Update: Reader Skip sends a picture of his VERY NICE Spyderco Endura 4.
The Civillian is the only spyderco blade I’ve lusted after, but the Endura is very nice indeed.

Posted mine.
That’s the same model pocket knife I’ve carried for years. It’s cleaned deer to squirrels and done exceptional duty in other endeavors. Never without it and when I finally wear this one out, I’ll get another just like it.

Mine is a Kershaw Leek. After I lost my G10 scaled version I replaced it with this one the same day. Every other folder is too bulky or too small or too expensive or too cheap. This one is just right.
I show mine off here.
Og, you can find a Serpentine Stockman pattern made by Case in Chrome Vanadium (carbon) steel for $37.50.
Mine is up too. Can’t do the hyperlink but here’s the URL:
http://nonoriginalrants.blogspot.com/2011/09/scuse-me-while-i-whip-this-out.html
I carry an older model Leatherman 33, the one with the skeletonized handle. Comparable modern versions would be the c33T and e33T.
I’m seriously considering replacing it with the e33T, that’s a powerfully attractive knife.
I carry a Barlow style laminated SS from Cabela’s (made in China, ugh-it was a gift from a very good friend). Never leaves my pocket except for airports and courut. No longer on their catalog.
See here for mine. I currently carry two knives (one in pocket, one in purse) and two bladed doodads on my keyring.
I copied you here:

And did a call out on the GBBL:

I’ll throw mine up when I get home… I do have an old Case Sowbelly as a backup :-)

Something like this might be a good option for a “new” version of that in high-carbon steel, if you get tired of scavenging gun shows for ‘em.
Bear and Son appears to make things in their US factory, though they don’t plaster their site with “Made In USA!!!!!” and flags everywhere.
Me too!

Og;
I have a Schrade ‘Old Timer’ pocket knife in carbon steel that looks identical to the Uncle Henry you have, except that the small blade is shaped a little different.
It sits in my gunsafe and has for 25+ years. I’ll send it your way if you will say something nice about vintage Jaguars. (It doesn’t even need to be true or accurate)

Oh! I fergot.
I carry a Victorinox Swiss Army knife that has about 8 tools, including large & small blade screwdrivers, corkscrew, scissors, can opener & few more. I also carry a Spyderco locking folder.
They both complement the Kimber compact stainless .45.
Sent to your email.
I have a little Leatherman, along with a littl flashlight, a little Swiss Army knife, and a little package of duct tape. The cluster is in my purse at all times, and has been for years.
Mine is so small! I’m not into having a lot of pocket jingle.
I’m old, female, and got my first knife when I was small - to whittle a boat from bark. My second knife came when I was 54, a gift from my husband, a Gerber 400. It is now part of my knitting ’stuff’. This whole subject is really a guy thing but has made me think. Thanks.

Mine’s up at Traction Control.
Roger: I have no issues with old jags. Just the fools who drive them.
Did you do this because I left my pocket multitool over there last weekend?
you did?
Mine’s up. Don’t laugh. The gun doesn’t leave much room.
“What does it have in it’s pocketesess?”, he asks.

I think I did. I can’t remember what day it was that I noticed it was missing from my keychain, but it was sometime after I rode the motorcycle home.
At least I was HOPING I’d left it over there….
