The Indiana DNR
has some proposed rule changes, one of which involves allowing NORMAL caliber rifles to hunt deer. If they go through, a hunter would be able to go afield with a 30-30 Winchester or a 45-70 for the first time in godonlyknows how many years. if you’re an Indiana resident or propertyholder, go vote.. er, comment. The more positive comments the better.
Just FYI:
It is the one (currently) at the bottom:
ish and Wildlife: Biennial Rule Amendment Package
(LSA #14-453) Amends various rules within 312 IAC 9 such as rules governing deer hunting, nuisance wild animals, cottontail rabbits, wild pigs, birds, reptiles, amphibians, sport fishing. For a complete list of proposed amendments see, the Proposed Rule and Notice of Intent.
Thanks, hard to be very clear from the phone. Appreciate you clarifying
So, if you couldn’t use a .30-30, what were you limited to?
Pistol caliber rifles.
Huh, I had no idea. Well, all I can offer is positive thoughts and crossed fingers, but you got’em. Good luck!
