IMTS begins in eight hours. Yeah, welcome to insomniac theater, I’m up and around because I’m in some pain, but also because I was unable to post earlier- no power till around midnight. <\/p>\n

Anyway: the last bastion of serious machine tool hucksterism will begin soon. Billions of dollars are being spent, some of them as I type, and when the last crate is packed up some two weeks hence, trillions of dollars worth of business will have been conducted. <\/p>\n

But, of course, the economy blows chunks, and it’s all W’s fault. <\/p>\n

I’ll make snide comments from my cellphone on this post through the day. My dogs are barking and this has not yet begun. <\/p>\n

Lest anyone think otherwise, i love the manuacturing industry, and the people I work for\/with are the very best IN that industry. And the heartache of the show is ALWAYS worth the effort, because of the people you meet and the results.
