Sometimes though, she does some damnably blogworthy things; Last year or so she’s been checking out the Nick at Night fare, and it’s all comfort tv to me, as well as to her. “andy griffith”(she can hum the theme, not a good whistler yet) “Leave it to Beaver” &etc.<\/p>\n
Today I was listening to Teri O’Brien on WLS coming home from the range, and at the end of her show, Teri, always the lady, names all the people that help make her show tick. I have listened so long I no longer pay attention, but the daughter was, she listened at Teri credited “yadda yadda produces the show, So-and-so does the traffic, whoosis screens my calls, ” and the oglet pipes in with “And Jerry Mathers, as the Beaver” <\/p>\n
I had to pull off the road.<\/p>\n
Now, “leave it to beaver” was funny enough under normal circumstances. Lately I have learned (by watching with the daughter) that the show is rife with possibly unintended inuendo. At least once, Barbara Billingsly says “Ward, don’t you think you were a little hard on the beaver last night?”<\/p>\n
