{"id":2373,"date":"2008-07-05T18:15:19","date_gmt":"2008-07-05T23:15:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/neanderpundit.com\/?p=2373"},"modified":"2008-07-05T18:15:19","modified_gmt":"2008-07-05T23:15:19","slug":"sorry-for-the-lack-of-postage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/neanderpundit.com\/?p=2373","title":{"rendered":"Sorry for the lack of postage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Spent a lot of yesterday doing yardwork, and this morning shooting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npccc.net\/smallboreinfo.htm\">this match<\/a>it&#8217;s been hard to stop grinning long enough to sit down and type. <\/p>\n<p>I always approach the matches with a bit of apprehension, the idea that I&#8217;m not good enough, or will make a fool out of myself&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Well, I DO suck, but I also tend to suck less than others, and more than some, and it&#8217;s a good time, at the end of which I had a chance to shoot a little pocket 25 that was given to me (temporarily; It already has a home destined for it, now i know it shoots OK) and I will be bluing it and putting decent grips on it soon. <\/p>\n<p>The match was rifle and pistol. I had a great time, and can&#8217;t wait for the results to see how much I sucked. I did place second in the head to head- two men shoot three falling plates each, and the first one to drop three wins. I made it through four elimination rounds to finish second, to a kid who looks like he shoots 500-900 rounds a day, based on his shooting. Damned impressive. <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s nice to shoot at something not paper. I mean, I like making holes, as much as the next guy, but I like the reactive targets, the clays, the timed events.
