\n“Oh… Probably somewhere around 40%. Bout like everybody else. No biggie,” he answered as if he didn’t have a care in the world.<\/p>\n
“Aren’t you worried about making that up? I mean, that’s a shitload of cash,” I asked, not having ever seen my father act this nonchalant towards financial issues.<\/p>\n
He looked me in the eyes, the way he always has whenever I’m about to be spanked.<\/p>\n
“No son, I got plenty. That 40%? That was your part,” he smiled and picked the paper back up, then continued his reading as if I wasn’t there.<\/p>\n
