I drove several of them there, and I&#8217;m damned if it&#8217;s not the nicest truck of it&#8217;s size I ever drove.<\/p>\n<p>Now, I also rode around in a Series 2 109 diesel, (Land Rover) and as far as rideability\/driveability goes, it has the toyota beaten hands down, of course. You can stand in the back of a Rover doing 50 mph down typical African roads, and that&#8217;s something that would kill you- or throw you out of the back- of a toyota. Problem is, the Rover&#8217;s supply chain is horribly long, even more so for Africa than here. <\/p>\n<p>There were also Hummers there, mostly h2s. They made me giggle. They&#8217;d probably be OK if you could take the tops off them. <\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the Hilux we drove<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image2654\" height=300 alt=hilux.JPG src=\"https:\/\/neanderpundit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/hilux.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our guides had just set fire to a field to drive out buffs had there been any there. <\/p>\n<p>And here&#8217;s the Rover.
