\nActually, that was taken sunday night, but the old girl hit the 200,000 mile mark just as we hit the 20 mile marker, just outside of Stevensville, Michigan, where my Uncle Frank <\/a>lived when he worked at the Cook Nuclear Facility<\/p>\n

I have taken good care of my truck, which is why it still runs so nicely after those miles, (and I fully expect to double that number before all is said and done) but thursday night tested the mettle of my faithful girl; we entered a snowstorm on Canada Hwy 21 that blocked roads for dozens of miles, at one point the only way we could even see the road was to roll down the windows and crane our heads out into the driving snow. We ended up driving through three roadblocks total, and had more than a few anxious moments as Hwy 21 has regular ravines on either side; a misstep and we’d be there till spring. <\/p>\n
We made it, in time to rest a few hours and attend the funeral.<\/p>\n
On the way home, we drove through some slush and nastiness which, at one point, caused us to slide sideways towards a 90 foot plus ravine. Quick action on the point of the Ogwife (and some divine providence)was all that stood between us and a long fall. We took out a few roadside reflectors but the only damage to the Exploder was a few tiny paint scratches. Thank God for the wife’s years of driving in bad weather. Thank God, Period. <\/p>\n
