I remember it as if it were yesterday, though it was more than a quarter century ago. I remember how stupid I felt, that I hadn&#8217;t got just how smart Dad was, until then. And I was extremely lucky to be able to get to know Dad as an adult, and become his friend. He knew he had to be my father as long as I needed a Father. And he was. He was ready to morph back into Father mode at a moments notice, too, but we were both glad to have gotten to that moment. <\/p>\n<p>Thanks, Dad.
