It wasn&#8217;t all the comforts of home, mind you, but we didn&#8217;t want for anything major. <\/p>\n<p>We had one major luxury, though. In the middle of the afternoon our camp cook would start up a little generator and plug it into a little freezer, and in the freezer, he&#8217;d place a couple sixes of Coke. <\/p>\n<p>African Coke tastes like Kosher for Passover coke, because it&#8217;s made with sugar and not corn sweetener. Coming back into camp at the end of a sweaty day and grabbing an icy-cold Coke, possibly one with ice crystals swimming around in it, was pure heaven. <\/p>\n<p>Once in a while, I throw a Kosher coke into the freezer, just to remind me.
