Tuesday, I left Chicago for Minneapolis. Not from midway, as is my norm, but from O’Hare.<\/p>\n
My return, unfortunately, was to Midway. Thankfully I caught this before I left, but it was still a pain- I had to drive to midway, park, catch a ride to O’Hare, fly out.<\/p>\n
On the way back,I find that I’m on a 6 PM flight. I stop at the automated kiosk, change my flight to an earlier one, since my work in MSP was done. <\/p>\n
Kiosk asks me, what airport do you want to fly in to? I touch “midway”, it gives me three choices, I pick the next available, collect my ticket, and move along. <\/p>\n
After dragging notebook and carryon to the farthest reaches of the universe <\/strike> airport, and I sit to wait for the flight. Preboarding begins and I notice the numberboard says “o’hare”.<\/p>\n
Now, I had been willing to condemn my travel agency for screwing up to begin with, but when an automated system can’t understand “Midway”, perhaps you’d better check your programming.<\/p>\n
OK, the gate agent very quickly straightens things out and sends me off to the OTHER END OF THE AIRPORT for my new flight. So I trudge over there and settle my backside in a seat to wait, and twenty minutes before THAT flight is due to leave, they announce that the plane has docked at gate C1 in stead of G1, so I’m off on ANOTHER trek, this one about halfway across the terminal, and when I get there I barely have time to get on the plane. At least I got a decent seat.<\/p>\n
So, To the management at Northworst airlines:<\/p>\n
I really hope you get your act together soon. Failing that, I hope you (and, of course, not your planes or the innocent passengers theron) plummet to a fiery death, I hope that NorthWorst goes out of business in such a spectacular manner that the folks at Enron are in awe, Unlike Enron, though, I hope your employees and investors who you have cheated for years out of your own folly and greed, raid the holdings of the highest paid executives and sell them, their families, and relatives, into slavery in south african brothels where they work off the lost pensions of the disenfranchised workers, and when the execs are finally hanged from lampposts, their feeble pasty white erections are posted on Rotten.com to be ridiculed by the lamest of mom’s-basement-living pimply faced forty year olds.<\/p>\n
Burn in hell, Northworst Airlines. You suck more than the sum of all the vacuum of intergalactic space combined, and being human, I cannot bear the actual burden of wishing on you all the bad you deserve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
