Ed Hering and Partner and I did the round of the local gunstores this morning; we went to the Ground Point funshow first but the line in the parking lot was so damned long we figured we’d freeze to death before we got in. So we went to Westforths and Cabelas and Blythes. <\/p>\n
At Blythes Ed found a Ruger MKII commemorative edition- priced OK, with box but without extra magazine. He put his credit card on the counter before I could even haggle!!!!<\/p>\n
Actually, the price was good, and the Ruger is a fine little pistol. He certainly didn’t get hurt and I doubt I would have been able to get them to come down too much off that price. If he goes back in again they’ll cut him a good deal on spare mags. <\/p>\n
Ed has firearms from his family, but this is his first purchase for himself of something he specifically wanted, and it’s abrilliant choice- nice little 22 that he’ll enjoy forever. <\/p>\n
