For 32 years I have taken my contacts out in the following manner: Carefully remove from left eye, rinse, and place in side of lens container marked “L”. Close container and open side marked “R”. Carefully remove right lens. Rinse, place in container, carefully close. Last night I realized that my left and right lenses have been the same prescription for 17 years. <\/p>\n
Last weekend, I caught my left hand on a broken branch. Unbeknownst to me I jammed a sliver about 1\/4″ into the meat of the heel of my hand. It hurt, but I’m so used to my hands hurting that I ignored it, like i ignore the half million other pains I deal with every day. Yesterday afternoon I scratched the spot and knocked off a scab, wherupon the tiny piece of sliver was propelled by a stream of pus and actually stuck itself in the cloth wall of my cube. I’m trying to make up my mind whether or not to remove it.<\/p>\n
I dreampt last night i hooked into about a 75 lb sturgeon on the Mississippi. One of my ex-girlfriends was there, and far more excited about the whole thing than I. She had a wad of expensive equipment, I had a Ronco Pocket Fisherman. <\/a> She was so seeminly upset about the whole ordeal I clipped the lanyard of the Pocket Fisherman to the tab of her pants zipper and said “here. Maybe the sturgeon can figure out what it takes to get in your pants” and walked away. <\/p>\n One of my suppliers had jerked me around for about three weeks, at which time I found a replacement supplier and invited the original to pound sand in no uncetain terms, and in a manner typical of me. You can imagine how that must have been received. I copied the president of the company. <\/p>\n Wednesday, I got a package in the mail that included a nice thermal travel mug and a $10 starbucks gift certificate, and a nice card of apology. I’m using the mug as I type, but i still don’t know if I’ll deal with them again. <\/p>\n
