Money quote?<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In all, 19 people have been infected with rabies. Of those infected, 13 have died and six remain hospitalized, two of whom were in very critical condition, the newspaper reported.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Now, they are going to be working pretty hard to eradicate those bats. Health officials, the story says, are laboring to immunize people and cattle.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nMe, I think the bats are just misunderstood. I mean, they don&#8217;t WANT to give the good people of Rio rabies, they just want to be left alone.  I think, in the interest of helping the bats find a safe place to live, we should ship several thousand of the poor unfortunate creatures to many of the remote areas of Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, etc. where the gentle bats can find many caves, underground bunkers, and spider holes to live their lives in relative peace.<br \/>\nOh, and I bet those empty tunnels once known as the Maginot line would also be a nice home for the bats.<\/p>\n<p>Just a thought.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apparently, Rabid Vampires are terrorizing the citizens of lovely Rio De Janeiro.
