Wait, I mean the deer really is in the freezer. The weather has cooperated nicely to allow me to hang the deer for a couple days, but we&#8217;re expecting 40&#8217;s and 50&#8217;s soon, so it was time. And now it&#8217;s done. <\/p>\n<p>Made a lot more ground meat this year, because we seem to use more like that. Backstraps cut into 2 lb chunks, for wellington and etc. Hams made into steaks and all wrapped and packed and freezing. Turkey is brining in a bucket on the front porch.
