A farmer is haying and his old, decrepit hay rake breaks down. <\/p>\n
A passerby notices the farmer messing with the complex machine and offers to help “For $500 I’ll fix it” The farmer has to have his hay in, and will lose evrerything if he doesn’t. he gives the stranger his $500, and the stranger walks around the machine, looks intently, and pushes a tangled rake tine. The machine begins to work and soon the farmer has finished his haying. <\/p>\n
Later, after the hay is up, the farmer looks at the stranger, and says “Well, it’s done but I don’t believe I paid you $500 to barely touch my machine”. The stranger says “I fixed the machine free. You paid me $500 to know where to push.”
