The meeting- replete with one parent per student
\n(They won’t tolerate ANYONE being truant)
\nwas the definite thing if you said you were coming
\nwithout the permission the kids would be bumming<\/p>\n
A Catholic school don’t tolerate much
\nthe boys can all look at the girls but not touch
\nanywhere not invited (or chaperon’s glare
\nwill cause a disruption with embarrasment to spare)<\/p>\n
“There won’t be any substances here that are illicit
\nUnless you want a well dressed unscheduled visit
\nto the local police where you might be defended
\nby mom, dad, or lawyer, but remain suspended<\/p>\n
Zero tolerance as always the plan of the day
\nEach kid to be breathalyzed before they can play”
\nthe warnings were many, but none of them bad
\nEach student recalled the great time they had<\/p>\n
At the last Promenade, full of tuxes and dresses
\nand the boys fresh haircuts and girls carefull tresses
\nthe excitement it grows as the evening draws near
\nbut the parents still have the occasional fear<\/p>\n
So the head Nun stood up and instructed the crowed
\n“We will make all the parents this pledge” then she vowed
\n“There will be no cleavage, no underwear showing
\nThere will be no hormonal activity growing”<\/p>\n
