We lost Lou Reed the other day, hard to believe he was 71. Hard to believe Joe Cocker outlived him, Jimi Hendrix, and Jerry Garcia. <\/p>\n

I loved two songs most, “Sweet Jane” and “Busload of Faith”. he did a lot of other worthy stuff, and of course being a hipster (Perhaps The Alpha Hipster) his politics were merely ignorant, but I liked his voice. <\/p>\n

it is said only 60,000 of his first album were ever sold, but that each buyer started a band of his own. This may be true, but I suspect most of those bands were the Shaggs. Hope you had a busload of faith, Lou. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
