Still, there are some places where you can see the bones of previous generations sticking out of the ground. <\/p>\n<p><a title=\"bones2.jpg\" class=imagelink href=\"https:\/\/neanderpundit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/bones2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image6528\" alt=bones2.jpg src=\"https:\/\/neanderpundit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/bones2.jpg\" height=500><\/a><\/p>\n<p>No idea why this building was left mostly standing, but it has been deteriorating since I first began coming here some twenty five years ago, at which time it was sometimes still in use.  You can see, on closeup, the mix of materials- bricks, concrete, limestone and granite from local escarpments, chunks of rock yanked out of the wrackline and laid in place with lime mortar, from the looks of it, a hundred years or more ago. There is no cornerstone marking the date of build, at best, the date is like the end of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rWHniL8MyMM\">Johnny Cash song. <\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"bones.jpg\" class=imagelink href=\"https:\/\/neanderpundit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/bones.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image6529\" alt=bones.jpg src=\"https:\/\/neanderpundit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/bones.jpg\" height=300><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now that I have a half decent camera, I will take pictures of this as I visit, and see how it fares from now on. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All the places I have ever lived have been suburban or rural, and yet there has never been much room for places left fallow; real estate was just too expensive.
