Friday was spent fishing for gills, and we caught a nice catfish, which we promptly ate. Even with a mere dusting of Old bay it was better than anything you’d ever get in a restaurant. And I have a wad of gills in the freezer for later. <\/p>\n
The squirrels didn’t completely evade us, almost everyone snagged one, I shot two and one is still thirty feet up in the fork of a tree. There are plenty of predators so it will be gone tonight- but I would have liked to put it in a stew. <\/p>\n
The weekend was splendiferous. I liked not being at work most of all. <\/p>\n
Mr B has been the target of some ugliness<\/a> in the last couple days, send a happy thought or prayer his way, he can use them. He’s tough as old shoe leather so he’ll do fine, but it does sometimes feel as if the planet is ganging up on you. I know the feeling all too well.
