Friday afternoon: My erstwhile “boss” (Nobody wants to admit to that job title) wanders through and loudly yells “I don’t give a flying fuck what that cunt at (xxx customer) wants, we will provide what we quoted!!!”<\/p>\n
As he wanders by my cube I comment, as quietly as I can: “Remember we’re not alone back here anymore”
\nHim: “What? Oh her? She’s heard this all before, she can handle it”
\nme: “Regardless. I know you to be a gentleman, and she’s a lady”
\nhim: …<\/p>\n
later, him: “Oh, by the way…. ”
\nme : “Yes?”
\nHim: “Thanks for the reminder”<\/p>\n
Sometimes people surprise you, and it only takes a little reminder. From some people I would have expected indifference or sarcasm, but some people will actually take that kind of suggestion to heart.
