If someone needs an employee to do a job, and they can afford to pay $9 an hour, no law is going to make them able to pay $15 an hour. <\/p>\n<p>At higher levels, work pays what you can negotiate. And if you negotiate a high salary for yourself, you&#8217;d better be able to produce results commensurate with your compensation, or else you&#8217;ll be on your ear in short order. <\/p>\n<p>Income inequality is an artificial construct- it&#8217;s like saying there&#8217;s depth inequality in the ocean.
