A tragedy that some people in this country cannot abide, a tragedy that legions of people are trying with all their strength and cunning to rectify and undo, and because of their persistence and dogged determination, they are succeeding.

\nI’m speaking of the tragedy of a united America. For a brief moment, every American, watching television, listening to the radio, reading a newspaper, surfing the net, every American stood shoulder to shoulder with his or her fellow Americans and presented a united front towards terrorisim. Jesus, even the Cankled Basilisk stood up, however reluctantly, and applauded. <\/p>\n
This, according to those Who Know better, could just Not go on. Any opportunity to drive a wedge between one American and another must be capitalized on, no matter how small, no matter how petty. Every vote they could take they would, even if they could turn it into a vote for a nothing candidate like Kucinich or Nader. Anything must be done to prevent Bush from succeeding. <\/p>\n
For a brief, shining moment, we were all just Americans.<\/p>\n
Now, we’ve become a nation of quibblers over wmds and Lynndie England, Bush Lied, People Died. Regardless of any facts, we are being herded toward the belief that Anybody but Bush will be better for our country. <\/p>\n
Fuck you morons. If you’re ignorant enough to belive this, you deserve what you get, and you deserve it good and hard. I’m ready for a frontier. I’m ready for a New New world. I’m beginning to believe that this country is dying, at least the ideals it once stood for. If Kerry is elected in November I will believe firmly that the lunatics have taken control of the asylum. <\/p>\n
Where is there to go? where is a frontier that can offer the greatness that America once had? Can we get America back without Red October? <\/p>\n
