Tomorrow afternoon at 3:30, I go for an angiogram. I have been back and forth to several doctors, the most recent of which, a cardiologist, feels convinced that i have some coronary blockage. I’m fairly convinced that it’s a muscle spasm in my arm and chest. Haven’t managed to get anyone to look at my ARM yet, but they sure have messed about with my heart. I guess I am seeing a cardiologist. If all you have is a hammer, as my friend Jenny says, everything looks like a nail. <\/p>\n
I’m gonna hope this all comes out OK. Frankly, it scares hell out of me. They are making noises like they might have to put in a stent etc., and if they do I’ll be out of commission for a couple days. If you don’t see a post here by monday, well, it’s been nice knowing y’all. <\/p>\n
Update: The test was every bit as awful and annoying as I had expected, and just a little bit more. They ended up making me stay overnight, and I couldn’t move for 6 hours following the procedure. My back hurt enough that they had to give me morphine to let me sleep. <\/p>\n
