I am the repository
of some interesting things.
Not least of which is a solid handful of firearms that people have dropped off. “I think it would be better if you kept this for me, for now” or “THis is sitting unused in my drawer. I bet you’d have a lot more fun with it than I am. Hang on to it for me if you would until such time as I need it”
This was one of those handoffs.

This was not what I originally thought it was, but what it is, is a service revolver, in chrome, in PERFECT condition. It neads cleaned, but there’s not a chip in the chrome anywhere, the casehardening is all there, the colors sharp and bright, and I bet it’s gonna shoot like crazy. Hope to find out soon. And someday, when it goes back to it’s rightful owner, it will still be in this condition, I guarantee.

Is that a 10 or a 13?
(Sure it’s not nickel?)
it’s a 10-8.
I’ve seen a lot of nickel, and I’ve never ever seen nickel this clean and sharp, and the color is very very chrome. Not that it’s impossible that it be nickel, but this was the carry gun for a rent-a-cop for over twenty years, and any Nickel I’ve ever seen that old gets tarnished or something somewhere. This doesn’t even have holster rash.
And real grips! Those’ll fill your hand… Pill-grim.

Umm… if it needs cleaning, I’m sure it’ll eventually go back to its original owner in BETTER shape than what it was delivered to you.
True that, Aaron.
