Countdown to monkeytown!
I know you will all be disapointed on wednesday morning when your US government has been turned from one pile of steaming dogshit whose foul stench we have grown to know, and loathe, to a new pile of steaming dogshit, many of whom we voted for.
I myself will go to the polling place on tuesday and hold my nose and vote for the guys I hate least. I have no illusion that this will fix anything.
And it won’t fix a damned thing.
Until we begin to cut the food supply to this gigantic parasite we will not be free of it, ever.

See, Og, we do agree on something!
Roger
Roger, we agree on plenty. And I like Jags just fine. You can’t come here and characterise them as durable and reliable, though, because i know better, and will call you on it every time.
Hah! I also would not characterise them as being reliable and durable.
I’ve lived within the smokescreen caused by Lucas wiring for too many years. Old Jags are like a beautiful mistress. Fabulous in bed, wonderful to look at & be seen with, totally unfaithful and can be counted upon to be expensive to maintain.
That is right, the responsibility does not end at the ballot box. America is in this predicament because people have been too busy with their lives and not paying attention to what is going on in government. Once our eyes are opened we can see corruption from local townships all the way to the top. The public must hold the politicians accountable, with everyone watching we have a chance. And yes, by all means take every opportunity to cut off the flow of our tax money to government. Enjoy your site, read you most every day, your effort is appreciated.
“Fabulous in bed”
No, they merely have that reputation. If you compared them to what was available from Detroit at the time, sure. But the lowliest Focus or Contour can out-everything them, and do it so reliably that they cross 100,00 miles before they even need spark plugs.
I am effing sick of having to vote for the lesser of two weevils.
And I’m reminded of, I think it was Will Rogers, something about “There should be a one-day season each year on senators.”
It is worse than you think Og,
For 2 months after the election, the people who have been rejected by the voters will still be in power. They will be angry, unaccountable and have a majority of both houses and a willing accomplice in the White house. Add to that no possibility of repealing their damage for at least another two years.
Nothing good can come of this.
Yep, there aren’t many who remember either an honest politician OR and unreliable car, but we used to have both. Remember when you planned to do a total overhaul at 50K miles? Because the engine would be worn out by then?
Remember when shock absorbers were good for 10K miles, tolerable for another 10, then you replaced them?
Remember when front-end components had to be replaced at least three times during the life of the car?
Remember when cars had two dozen ZERK fittings to apply grease every three months or shorter? And said grease REALLY messed up your garage floor?
Remember when oil changes were every 3K miles or three months?
I could go on, but cars are WAY better than they used to be, so quit yer bitchin’
Professor: all those current (D) leaders have ears. When they hear the creak of millions of gun safes opening at once, they will KNOW it’s time to stop preying on us.
Tuesday I’ll have to hold my nose and hold back my stomach contents as I vote for Kirk but even he is better than Gianoullious (sp?, don’t care).
At least we have hope of getting Bill Brady in for governor and hopefully turn over enough of the House to give Madigan the boot from Speaker.
Hat Trick, there is always Labu. I have never voted for a libertarian, but this time I will. Perhaps if enough people decide they have had enough, well … you all know the diill. I have come to the conclusion (specifically in the case fo Kirk vs Gianoullious) that two wrongs are not good PERIOD. That Kirk may be “right” on a couple of issues (or at least says that he is, leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Fact is, I trust neither one of them. Kirk is an opportunist, a disgrace to the uniform he wore (or may be currently wearing for all I know or care), and at best is a RINO masquerading as a conservative. Gianulious, on the other hand is out and out corruption personified. Part of the well oiled Chicago/Democrat Party political machine, he will be a rubber stamp for the party and progressive agendas in general.
They can both go to hell, and I would consider it an honor to be able to personally send them there, straight away.
I’m going to dig out my copy of Who’s Next so I can listen to “Won’t Get Fooled Again”.
The Fungus is going to make that then anthem of the next Congress. (Whatever number it is.)

Professor, that would be the greatest gift the progressives could give the country, to show their true selves, the same way Saddam set fire to the Kuwaiti oil fields after Desert Storm. The Democrat would be stamped out forever.
Now if the GOP got in and acted like Democrat Light, nothing good could come from that.
I’m thinking it’s a good time to go to the library and get some history books on Argentina to let me know what to expect, since that’s the country we’re bound to become very soon.
