Yeah, yeah.
The law has started to come for the faithful, exactly as I predicted it would.
Let me be clear on this: If you didn’t see this coming, you’re either stupid, or evil. Under the “Evil” Category I place all those morons who will take any side against the Church in any dispute because of their own issues. You know who you are.
No, I was right all along, and this is only the beginning, and trust me on this, the shitstorm is coming. This is not, and has never been, about “Giving gays the right to be happy and free to do as they please”. This has, from the very beginning, been solely about using the law as a weapon to destroy the Church in America. Period. All the libertards who whine about freedom, watch what happens when someone uses your own ignorance to take it away.

Say bye bye, first amendment.

Yep, the Marxist always needed to eliminate competitive belief systems. But because Marxism has such a deadly history, they go by a new name.
I differ with you about the morons though. It’s a designation for any human who does not learn from experience. Someone whose IQ is naturally low.
Given that history does really exist and anyone who seeks out the truth can learn from it, it is clear that most morons that I have encountered are self-made (by choice and usually from fear) than are morons from birth. Willful ignorance. Even the most brilliant persons know how to play the role of moron when they fear the truth. That’s why only the town imbecile is willing to say that the emperor is naked in Hans Christian Anderson’s story. He’s too stupid to know that Political Correctness is the key to safety (no matter how temporary).
Bottom line: In the eyes of all of America’s intelligentsia, principled conservatives and those who are considered orthodox religionists (in fact, considered synonymous) are morons.
Self made morons. I like that. Lol.
Line in the sand? This IS one, if I’ve ever seen it.
These churches are all within 100 miles of me. I wonder which, if any of ’em, will stack up literal barricades against Mayor Porker’s aggression?
If they call for help, I’m answering. Lives, fortunes, sacred honor. Some assembly required.

Jim, the latest news I read from Houston is that the TX Atty General got the Harris County DA to back off the subpoenas. But as Og points out, this is only the beginning.
Speaking of Self Made Morons, I’d conflated this story in Idaho, with our local Mayor Porker’s having subpoena-ed the texts of sermons, ministerial notes and emails, of five prominent local churches which had opposed her “equal rights” amendment to the City Charter.
It’s all the same Gaystapo though, just in different cities.
You know, should truly dystopian times arrive, society is going to purge the chaff from the wheat on an scale that’d make Himmler blush. All those leftist elements who are the wreckers, the destroyers and the underminers…. well, they do face a days of reckoning, both here and in the beyond.

That’s my home-town. I’m so pissed off right now I have to push my keyboard away for fear of shooting out an email that I’d regret later. As it is, I’m calling up the Mayor’s office tomorrow and letting them have a piece of my mind.
Whynthehell am I fighting to protect the constitution if the damn gummit is just going to shred that document?
Y’all are starting to get it. The sodomites, will force the spotlight upon themselves. If one has even a shred of dignity and desire for what is moral, then one will oppose this, which creates conflict, with which the media sells ads, and they get center of attention, which is what they want. They win if they win their cause, they win if they lose. And don’t think they don’t love the affirmation they get from the heteros who go to the mat for them. Homosexuals are the liberal pet of the moment, and so they have center stage.
I have a whole post on this to post soon, and won’t fill your comments with it. Suffice to say the one thing homosexuals don’t seem to want is the one thing they insist upon: to be left alone. If society suddenly forgot about them and moved on to the next big thing, they’d have to come up with something new and emotional to regain center stage.
I for one never doubted you.
The funny thing is that legal same-sex marriage doesn’t bother me one way or the other. From a legal standpoint (as opposed to religious/sacramental) marriage is a boilerplate contract, spelling out rights and responsibilities. If two people wish to set up housekeeping together and want the legal protection of a contract specifying finances, duties, power of attorney, living will, etc go right ahead, and the details of which tab-A go into whose tab-B are none anyone’s business.
I get a hair up my ass when someone tries to tell a church (like, oh, mine for instance) that they must perform such a marriage. That’s not solely a legal matter, it’s now a Sacramental issue, and the church has both the right and the responsibility to determine who is eligible (or ineligible) to partake of the sacraments.
If another church wishes to perform such services, knock yourself out. I think they’re mistaken, but there’s no law against being mistaken. And the problems associated with bringing the power of government to bear on the matter are far, far worse than the problem they’re attempting to solve.
It appears that Pope Francis and the writers and producers of Bluebloods are coordinating their efforts on moving the RCC into “new” dispositions.
Here is Brent Bozell’s almost good counter-offense against the counter-cultural Bluebloods’ episode of Friday Oct. 10.

And here is the news report “God is not afraid of new things” that only hints at what his eminence is trial ballooning (given the cardinal’s resistance to his “change.”) http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2014/10/19/pope-francis-synod/17551189/
Really your eminence? It’s God who thinks this move is new and is unafraid of it. I guess its a good thing that your faithful know what papal infallibility really means.
Indeed. If bergoglio pronounces this crap ex cathedra, we are in a world of shit.
“Conservatives don’t speak much of “ideals.†They think, more modestly, in terms of norms, which are never perfectly realized, but only approximated by sinful man. Consider homosexuality. Whereas the liberal wants to impose “gay rights,†by law and coercion, the conservative sees homosexuality as a defect, which to some extent can and must be tolerated, because it can’t be “eradicated,†but it can’t rationally be exalted to the plane of normality; and he knows that all talk of “same-sex marriage†is nonsense, like trying to breed calves from a pair of bulls. But to the liberal, the only issue is equal rights; human nature and normality have nothing to say to him. What the conservative sees as life’s mysteries, the liberal sees as mere irrationality.
One word is notably absent from the liberal vocabulary: enough. For the liberal, there is hardly such a thing as “too much†government. There is no point at which liberals say, “Well, we’ve done it. We’ve realized our dreams. We have all the government we need, and we should stop now.†No, they always want more government. There is no such thing as enough government.
Again, Chesterton sums up liberalism in a phrase: “the modern and morbid habit of always sacrificing the normal to the abnormal.â€

I particularly like this crack in the article about a famous Neo-Con:
“He likes big government just fine, as long as it’s shooting something.”
