I’mna have to get one of these.

The Kill-a-watt is an interesting tool. I’ve used them before, to check the actual power consumption of devices at work.

Oh, I can look at the power consumption and make a calculation, but it’s nice to be able to just plug something in and see in doillars and cents how much its costing you to run each month. Being a cheap bastard, and trying to get my utilities costs down to as close to nil as possible, I think this would be a handy thing to have around the house. The wallwarts alone in this house must cost twenty bucks a month to run.

Bare titties at Target

New mothers stage a nurse-in. And nobody told me! I woulda gon to the local Target just to- well, no.
Actually a breatfeeding woman doesnt’ do a damned thing for me, one way, or another. I frankly don’t give a damn.

It isn’t because it’s “Natural”, so is a bowel movement and I’ve no interest in seeing that either.

When the Oglet was a babe in arms, we knew when she was going to eat, and we arranged to have some privacy at those times. Granted, we had no other children, so that complicates things. But if you derive prurient pleasure from watching a woman breastfeed, I have to wonder about you.

RedStateRadio bleg

Midwesterners may remember Teri O’Brien, from the old days of WLS.

She’s on RedStateRadio now, and doing a fine job of eviscerating liberals; I love to listen to the show because she’s sort of the conservative mixture of Stiffler’s Mom and Fatal Attraction (Though she’s better looking than both Glen Close and Jennifer Coolidge. I would hate to be a liberal in her sights.

Anyway. She’s on at noon, and you should listen- but first, go there and vote for her in the websites’ poll. She deserves this, and only a few extra votes will put her over the top.

And of course, this being Chicago, vote often.
