This is my Aunt Roseanna. She’s young, just married, I think. Rosie is about two thirds Kate Hepburn and half Annie Oakley, as the above photo indicates.
She is one of my favorite people on the planet.
At her 70th birthday party, a couple weeks ago, they had these big boards out with all these pictures- and I saw this one of Rosie picking off squirrels with a 22.
It’s a great picture. She’s a great lady. The picture of her shooting felt so right, I had to post it here.
As if you hadn’t noticed.
IMTS, the International Machine tool show,is in Chicago, and I have to work the booth for the next week. Busy busy. Be back soon, lots to say, lots to do. meanwhile read Eternity Road, and go look at the Palace of Reason (the “curmudgeon” link to your left) before it goes away.

Wow.
Between Bush, Cheney, Giulinai, and yes, even Zel Miller, I will say, I am proud to live in this country, and glad they are at the helm; I also hope to God they get four more years to continue their most excellent work.
