September 2008

You know, here’s the thing:

I’m not a financial genius, and never will be.

Our fearless leaders have used “emergency” situations like this to assume more and more power through the years, to the point where the cures are way more painful than the ills they were used to prevent.

Let us catch the cold. Fewer people will die from it, in the end, than if we give Big Gummint leave to “fix” it for us.

One of the great joys in my life

is laying in bed watching the Ogwife get dressed. Slipping on her stockings, wriggling into her panties, tucking her shirt into her pants.

I still cannot believe my luck after all these years. Sheryl Crow was right about this; it’s not about having what you want but wanting what you’ve got.

If there is anyone out there

who doesn’t understand it is not capitalism that caused the current mortgage/insurance troubles but redistributionists gaming the system, and carefully orchestrating the timing of the bailout, please take one step backwards, and face away from the computer.

(Holds up sign that says PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE. THOSE OTHER PEOPLE ARE TOO STUPID)
