serail asshat Roger Ebert finally cacks, raising the collective IQ if the planet a click or two.

Nil nisi bonum ad mortum, I suppose, but the man made me nuts, his opinions about almost everything subjective were pompous and annoying, and his opinions about objective things were always wrong.

At least they waited until he was seventy. I’m sure hell has a whole amusement park for him by now.

Five Days I wrote these verses here
I have twenty five to go
Will I conclude the exercise
or will I drop it on my toe?

I have no lack of words to use
I daren’t write the things I see
I wouldn’t tempt my fleeting muse
to write much detail about me

The things I write I do enjoy
like freeing doves into the sky
I use the language like a toy
though others often wonder why

I love to twist the tigers tail
and make the words do my command
I often find it easier
if there’s a concept close at hand

So meter leave and subject broach
that I might have a better day
For writing rhyme you’ll be my coach
just give me something else to say.

I haven’t had a lot of fun this year
The cause? Incessant ringing in my ear
I’ve had alot of trouble with my auricle
But that’s the fault of wounds that are historical.

I saw an ENT some years ago
he whirled me in a chair both to and fro
and blew warm air into my ear to see
if there was something seriously wrong with me

“Rocks in your head” he said and then I went away
and dealt with vertigo from day to day
But now this ringing causes me some strife
it nullifies my quality of life

So off to new MD I did proceed
and when there told him, hopeful- of my need
Some poking prodding, questions and a test
revealed to him what treatment is the best

I’ll take some Doxycyclene for four weeks
as well as prednisone to spring some leaks
in clogged-up nasal passages I’ve got
or so he says (And really, he’s the doc)

And after that to see if I can cope
or if he in my nose must further poke.
Ballon rhynoplasty is the last
resort if I won’t deal as if in past

the deviated septum, by the book
(Result of bruiser with a hot left hook)
should be rebroke and set to make it right
but if I don’t need that I will not fight
