to earwoms these days, is with the state of terrestrial radio these days, I cannot listen to music. I have an Ipod full of music that I carry around, and can play through the radio, but it relaxes me and I enjoy it, and the next thing you know I’m napping like a motherfucker. Which is generally a bad thing when I’m driving.

Lest I spend a lot of time surgically removing the trucks seat cushions from my nether regions, I listen to talk radio. The afternoon guy in Chicago is just annoying enough that i spend most of my trip home pressure testing my temporal arteries.

So I’m forcing myself to listen to more decent music at home, and I’ll be doing the same on the way to Vegas next week. Just to stop the bad sound.

As Pat Robertson said, they’re being punished. Most likely, in his mind, for being Catholic.

Damn, Pat. I thought you’d found your big boy pants by now.

I suppose this is the sort of thing that people look at and cannot differentiate between Christians and Muslims. Thing is, Robertson isn’t a Christian. Christians by definition are followers of Christ, and Robertson is a follower of a guy named John Calvin, who claimed to have divine inspiration as to what the message of Jesus “really” was. Robertson flavors his “brand” of Christianity by running it through the filter of that nutball Calvin, and you can find the Baby Jesus outside in the garden, looking all confused in his puddle of bathwater.

A great deal of what Robertson espouses are decent Christian values, and then he pops off with a stunner like this, which make people suspect the other parts of his message, too.

Listen, folks, this is not Christianity. All of these idiots doing and saying all this crap in the name of Christ are going to be in for a rude awakening. Don’t judge Christians by the behavior of this fool. And keep the people of Haiti in your prayers.
