Traditionally a day when servants had the day off to visit their families, it’s a holiday celebrated here because the Ogwife is Canadian. Mostly, we laze around the house watching movies.

Yesterday we had a big chuck roast, a simple meal we haven’t had in a long time mostly because I didn’t have a dutch oven. Now that I do, a chuck roast is a perfect meal, and cheap as chips.

Hoping you had as wonderful a Christmas as I did, and we’ll all be here again to enjoy it next year as well. Now go spend time with your family!

The Oglet is home from school, we’re all around and doing ok. We have such a great deal to appreciate. Most of all, the faithful among us have a reminder that the Creator sent his son to us. Born in poverty and destined to greatness. A reminder that the very best of us are helpless against the forces of evil, but that the very least of us hold sway while the most powerful collapse.

Merry Christmas, everyone. My joy moves me to tears. May your cup run over as well.
