Snow.

Maybe a quarter of an inch, at most. Nothing to speak of. Roads wet and icy.

Probably means Mr B got a foot.

I got a nice extra envelope at work yesterday that allowed me to do a few things for the Ogwife and Oglet I usually cannot do; our Christmases are- as they have always been- focused on the daughter. The gifting part of Christmas, to me, is about children. The wife and I have been in the habit of wrapping up toiletries and occasionally things we already own to make it seem like we’re making out like bandits, and the Daughter has never noticed. Today I set up the wife’s present and I could not be more excited to give it to her.

Our Christmas experience has always been a spiritual one and not materialistic; still, to be able to do something nice for the people I love is extremely exciting to me.

Somedays, it’s like being on a bus.

The bus is old, but it mostly still works. At first, the riders were almost all pretty decent, but eventually we got some “Special needs” kids. Then they brought other foam-helmet types with them. Soon, pretty much the whole bus was riddled with window-lickers. Now, we have a driver who is a window licker, and the only decent people on the bus are the ones who have the credit card, who have been attached to their seats with the sticky bodily fluids of the Bus-tards. The paying passengers are forced to wipe the asses of the bus-tards who persist in shittng everywhere, and nobody is safe from their ignorance.

In other news, CT is proposing a 50% sales tax on ammo. This smacks of Rahm ‘Never let a crisis go to waste” Emanuel.

Did you know

That Gun Free Zones are the closest correlation to mass shootings? I knew it was hgher but I did not know it was so high. Well, according to NRO, it is.

Money quote:

“With just one single exception, the attack on congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in Tucson in 2011, every public shooting since at least 1950 in the U.S. in which more than three people have been killed has taken place where citizens are not allowed to carry guns.”
