Apparently it’s only the day shift that can’t run an ROV, the guys on nights were brilliant. I was watching the whole deal go down last night, and it was amazigly impressive.

They could have found someone at BP to operate the ROV that was more uncoordinated? I’ve used a bunch of robots and a bunch of waldoes, but I’ve never seen anyone who seemed so incompetent. maybe the equipment sucks, I dunno, but man, if I couldn’t work any better than that I’d be a riddler.

I have a crescent shaped scar on my forehead from the rim of a red-hot 7.5 swiss cartridge. I made the mistake of lowering the rifle as I ejected the last round between stages. The swiss rifle does eject wiht some authority- and of course, accuracy. The whole 30 rounds from the 50 yard match ended up in a neat pile just behind me and to my left.

other than the one which hit me in the forehead, that is.

Still. healing nicely. Another little scar to add to the collection.
