Most places, you can go to AutoZone or Advance Auto and get them to read your codes, but Pascal informs me that his local Autozone has ceased doing this.

If I have to guess, I’m guessing that the dealerships lobbied to make the stores stop the practice of reading/resetting codes for free, and this is probably coming to a store near you.

You can buy a code reader for well under a hundred bucks. You can buy an app for your android that will do the same thing for not much, too. And a bluetooth adapter that you can leave in the car. Get it before they make that illegal.

I will clamp the deer head down and saw off the antlers and skullcap. Maybe. I will also split up a round Mr B left me, so it’s not in front of the shed anymore. Otherwise I’m drained of ambition.

Because I had to refill a scrip today, of all days, and I wandered into the Walmart parking lot, got a spot two places from the door, walked right up to the sporting goods counter and purchased 100 rounds of 223, got a bottle of creamer and went to the pharma counter, walked right in and got my scrip, paid, and headed home. I was home in less than a half hour. I don’t quite know what all the fuss is about.

OTOH, there were a lot of “People of walmart” moments, but since this was a short trip and I’m off the clock at present, I didn’t have my phone along. Shame, too, because the 80 year old broad with orange hair wearing satin spandex pants was a sight for sore eyes.

Well, sore afterwards, anyway.
