Neanderpundit

This weekend we play host to a handful of Austrians, the family of my Brotherinlaw’s wife. Her daughter and son in law, her grandson, her soninlaw’s brother and girlfriend. They have chosen to stay at a hotel rather than Chez Og, being as we have one bathroom, and I don’t blame them. They’re also quite young, and I suspect the idea of sleeping in a house with a bunch of old farts snoring away probably isn’t their idea of romance. Don’t blame them.

Anyway, they’re a hoot. They saw my collection and immediately wanted to go shooting, even the youngest (Maximillien, 5) got a bit on the daughter’s Cricket and made it VERY clear he’d like to go shooting. I hope they come again at a time when I can make that happen, they are certainly always welcome.

Anyway, they have their own websites! Here’s one, and here’s the other. Both have been run through babelfish, and are moderately horrid translations, so if you read German, please remove the babelfish and read them in the original.

they have been great fun to be around, though they’re making the most of their sightseeing opportunities, and despite the language barrier, we are having a good time in the evening eating and drinking and talking. My daughter is in love with the little one, Maxi. They went to Chicago today and played and played, and I suspect the daughter will be sad to see him go.

If this writing sounds stilted I’ve tried to tailor it so they could read it’s translation and make some sense of it.
