it is easier to add photographs from my phone than on my computer; so I will forego the tablet and post from my phone. Assume that the blog will be picture heavy and text light for the following week.

Over the past year I have bought some selected items from Walmart. yeah, yeah, everyone has a beef with walmart. But like the LODGE cast iron dutch oven I got there, some things are good, and people that sell them should be rewarded for doing so.

Anyway, I learned long ago that if you choose the items available in store, you can sometimes get some pretty good deals pretty fast. Got the wife a notebook and the daughter a tablet at some very attractive prices.

So headed to SHOT, I thought, it might be nice to have a tablet of my own. Save me dragging around a notebook, and a nice way to take notes at the show, right? Oy. So I buy one Walmart proudly proclaims as being available online, and in the middle of the day I get the notification that it has been shipped from Guanxiou City by tramp steamer, and will be here in 2025. Apparently “Pick up in store as early as today” doesn’t mean what it used to mean. Monkeys. So now I’m gonna see if I can find one that’s actualy in stock somewhere, so i don’t have to drag my notebook along, I hate excess carryin baggage. And I don’t want to check anything, thankyouverymuch. Should be more whining coming from SHOT in upcoming days.
