I guess it’s not new learning but a reinforcement of old learning. When someone says they “challenge their beliefs regularly” it means they turn a deaf ear to any contrary opinion so they can say their beliefs hold up to scrutiny by everyone. Without ever having to- you know- challenge your beliefs.
