Never had much experience with wool blankets.
On-the-other-claw, if you’d said like “epoxy on a tile floor” or maybe a “limpet on a smooth rock” then I would have to concur.
What really drives me bonkers is that I have a couple of examples of recurrent pain where nothing seems to be wrong.
Somehow we both managed to pick the same weekend to hurt our backs.
I have no frikken clue how, but I managed to pull my right Lat and trap; and it’s still killing me, now 5 days later (though not as bad as Friday).
Like I asid on my blog, you never think about it till you hurt them, but every single movement you make, including breathing, involves your back muscles.
Sciatica (my own usual complaint) is nothing to be laughed at either, but in my case it did get me 20-odd insurance-paid sessions with a hot physical therapist.
I can’t get any time off until the weekend, but I’ll buy a woollen blanket on Saturday and let you know how I go.

Do you go to chiropractors? I’ve been to two (there was no problem with the first, I was 120 miles away) and had good luck with both.
Chiropractors can only do so much. They move the bones back where they should be, but once the ligaments are strained, they will never be as good at keeping the bones in the proper place. Still, my chiros have saved me from a lot of pain.
This is an unpaid testimonial; I have no relatives in the business; YMMV blah blah.
I do have a crack, search old posts for “gee your hair smells terrific” and she’s good- but it will be weeks before I can break free to see her.

Not to dominate the conversation here, but if I may get this straight — You are on vicodin for the pain and your employer will not let you out for a few hours to go to a chiro?
“break free”? You have apparently never seen IMTS.

I’m guessing, IMTS = International Machine Tool Show or International Manufacturing Trade Show. I have not seen that or any of the other acronyms. Do you have to man a booth?
I know your pain. Thankfully, I don’t know it right this moment.

It’s your job and your back, Og, and I know you did the original injury on your own time, but the older you get, the higher the risk of permanent injury. Will your employer really appreciate it $$ if you allow your back to be screwed up permanently for the sake of a booth at an expo?
Call me a self-centered crybaby Boomer if you want, but if it was my choice, I might well ask for a few hours off to see the chiro. I’ll shut up now.
Hmmm. I’ve experienced plenty of back pain – thank God for muscle relaxers, but I gotta tell you, the imagery has compelled me to throw out all my wool blankets…not that I plan on crappin’ on ’em anytime soon.

Never gotten shit on a wool blanket, but if it sticks around like back pain does, then it must be pretty determined stuff.
Damn near identical.
Feel for ya, Og. Been there and done that.

I am building a booth, engineering as I go, and manning it too.
If your back “goes”, you won’t be building the booth or manning it. You are as stubborn as Mark.

My back is “gone” and it isn’t going to stop me, it never has.
