Something there is that doesn’t love a wall
that sends the frozen ground swell under it
and topples upper boulders in the sun
and makes gaps even two can pass abreast
Love the Frost poem, can still recite most of it from memory.
Me, these days, walls are touchy subjects- I’m building a retaining wall in the backyard and it’s kicking my ass. This sucker is needed- I had a bunch of work done last year to re-level the house and I don’t want it to slide back down the hill again. It’s going to look great, but sometimes it’s amazing I wake up in the morning- the aches and pains are beating me senseless. Ok, More senseless. Still, it’s going to look great when it’s done, and I have a special sense of connectedness with Mr Frost as I toil. I’ll post more pictures as it progresses, but for now, I’m happy to make it through the day.

:o You have a brick home! Very nice. We don’t see many of them out this way. Many pre-constructed narrow-ish trailor park looking homes … they’re just not the same as brick. :)
That is one cool looking wall. :D
You might try going through a 10-minute whole-body stretching routine after you finish each day. I had to do a multi-day batch of yard work not too long ago, and it really helped.
(Well, I think it helped – the one day I forgot, I hurt twice as bad the next day.)
If I knew how to do a ten minute body stretching routine, that might well help-LOL! Exercise never my strong point. I will try to stretch a bit, and I’m gonna take some ibuprofin as well, to maybe catch the ouch before it hits me.
