Damngutters and damned leaves
I have cleaned my gutters so damned many times now I have decided I may lose the gutters altogether and just go with french drains.
If we can get them to all work OK, I may get to hang lights tonight- if not, it’ll have to wait till next weekend. What an enormous pita.
Cut down the damn trees :D
I bought a Weedeater leaf blower plus an extension kit (around $26) of tubes with a U-shaped final tube, which lets me walk along on the ground and blow the leaves out of the gutters. It works pretty well. You have to have a long extension cord. My house is a ranch, but the kit comes with enough tubes to reach a second story gutter.
Don’t you have that gutter guard stuff over there? Plastic mesh with about half inch holes in it that you fit into your gutters. Leaves can’t get past it, but water flows right by.
And it sucks up catkins like nobody’s business. No, won’t work here.
