Thundersnow
Forty eight hours ago it was 68 degrees. I slept with the windows open.
This morning it’s snowing lke the end times and there is lightning and deep rolling thunder.
Fuck this, I’m going home.

Thundersnow…most of my adult life I’ve lived up north (other than 10 years) and I’ve NEVER experienced it. Until last night. Unbelievable.
If you’re driving, be damned careful.
I got home last night & sat with the windows open. This morning it was spitting snow. Thank God I live here, where the ground’s too warm for it to stick. Should be back in the fifties tomorrow.
We’ve had thundersnow down here a few times, it’s absolutely bizarre.
65 just the other day, I had the sunroof open in the car.
The forecast here was for 1-2″, but the sun is shining brightly in East Central.
I remember sitting outside one January night, watching the lightning and listening to the thunder, while the heavy snow would change into a hard rain, and back again. About 15, 16 years ago.
Not the only time I’ve seen it, but that was the most impressive. I watched it for hours… until my mom got tire of me scratching at the door.
I’m still a little amazed that we here in the Ohio valley don’t have something similar in our near future. And I’m dubious, even though I can see the satellite photos at Weather Underground.

Oh yeah…. Today is a good day to be home.
We’ve got rain and it was in the 60’s today. Well, I guess I should be happy we had half a day of sun yesterday.
They’re saying snow here on Sunday night – we’ll see.
