It seems to be stuck on stupid. As I watch the people coming forth to run for the presidency in the Stupid party, I am astonished, amazed, and disgustipated. Guliani? Jesus, if this is the best we have we’re utterly fucked.
The only bright spot is that there isn’t shit going on on the other side of the fence. Hillary? Obama? If we somehow manage to end up with either of these oxygen bandits as CIC, we deserve, as Mencken says, what we have coming to us, good and hard.

I used to be a Brownback supporter until his stance on illegal immigration became obvious. He had a snowball’s chance in hell anyways but now, even less as far as I’m concerned.
As for the rest – not impressed.

I am so glad you expressed this. This morning I emailed our curmudgeon with much the same complaint.
Are we actually going to accept these clowns our oligarchs relentlessly tell us we must choose from for CIC in 2008? All are statists of one stripe or another. This one would take away our right to self defense; that one would aid destruction to our common culture — our nation’s key to success; another would weaken the voices of the common man still further. A couple are known to have thrown in the towel in campaigns against otherwise beatable Leftists as if they had been made an offer they couldn’t refuse.
Are we not grateful for having been granted the freedom to choose the next round of poisons from columns A, B, or C?
As the creeping “Progressive” pattern of gradual enslavement through various and sundry means becomes ever more clear to more and more of us, I have a challenge.
