If you have to be away from home
at least be with nice people. I was, yesterday, got to spend some time with Mr and Mrs Alger. Who are every bit as nice as you might suspect. And had a great time. The home improvements Mark is doing with his place are intense- I don’t envy him the work he has yet to do, but the place has a great layout and great potential, and is well on it’s way to being an incredibly cute home.
Now come the restraining orders, and the death threats. Still, unlike most people who meet me for the first time, they seemed not to run screaming in terror until the end of the evening. OK, maybe yawning, but terror was definitely involved.
Nice to meet them. If you have a chance, you should do so too.
Bloggers, as a bunch, I’ve noticed, are decent folks. We all have our specific goofiness, and I am the POSTER CHILD for it, but aside from the occasional nervous tic, we’re remarkably normal. I have met almost all the bloggers I regularly read, now. And I have enjoyed meeting them all, the Algers a classic example. Thanks, folks, it was a great evening.

Sorry for the yawns. I was up past my bedtime. And, don’t worry. You won’t have to put out restraining orders against us.We fully understand and accept all the rules !
No kidding aside, it was a pleasure to meet you and to have dinner together.NEXT time we have to start earlier in the day! You’re a wonderful story teller and Mark and I had a great evening. Glad that you did, too!

By the way, there was little terror noticed on our end.

What she said and then some. Massively enjoyed. And now that the first-time jitters are past, next time should be even MORE fun (than a human being should be allowed to have).

Og is right. You don’t get out often enough. And, you’re right about the jitters.

Maybe it’ll take a while for the terror to set in. Think of me in a tutu and sorel boots. See? that’s the feeling.
Ahh yes…
The baby troll master.
Must link him…
Now THAT image does strike terror or, maybe, humor. The problem is, or maybe the reality is, having seen you, I just can’t picture you in a tutu. Sorels, maybe. And a leotard.

Toni, you never heard the story of the green leotard. Guess I have to write it.
You write it and I’ll be happy to read it.Sounds like Robin Hood.

Hey the goofiness I exchange with the friends I’ve made in the Blogosphere is what inspires my other writing half the time.
