Rolling your own.. again.
In the process of loading some 30-06 for the purpose of sighting in a new scope, and I have discovered that I have over 500 rounds of 30-06 brass! Damn, at 20 rounds a pop, that’s a lot of shooting.
I guess I should be buying up that privi partisan 7.5 swiss- enough shooting and I’ll have a thousand rounds of that as well.

There’s a collectors grade 1911 K31 at a local mom and pop that I know is in primo condition (I know the guy who owned it before he traded it for something else. The only reason he traded it was because he has another that’s even nicer). They want $295 for it, which is damn steep for a K31 I admit, but unlike most of them you see this one has hardly any blemishes on it at all…
Me wants. Me wants bad.
After this last gunfire fiasco down here in Indy the other night, which was WAY too close to home for comfort, I’m buyin’ me some Mossberg 500 action. I’m done lying there awake at night because some damn noise wakes me up and makes me think someone’s coming through a window. Of course the .45 is loaded and at bedside, but a pistol is only meant to get you to your long gun, and my current long guns are too long for home defense.
There’s something very comforting with a double-handful of 12guage whoopass in the event of trouble.
May I suggest some of the low or reduced recoil loads? If a couple of those won’t stop somebody, you need silver bullets and a stake & mallet set.
That’s pretty high for a K31. ‘Course, things I thought were high a few years ago, now those prices seem downright cheap. And they are sweet rifles.
They have some shooter grades for around $160. I guess this one is a rare model or some shit.
All I know is that it’s purty and I want it :)
