the deadliest weapon
if I’m fighting for my life, and I manage to wrest a weapon from my opponent, especially if that weapon is more powerful than mine, I’m going to use that weapon to my advantage.
One of the weapons used against Americans on a daily basis is the stupid lawsuit. When I say stupid lawsuit, I mean the kind of crap that has been imposed on the tobacco industry, the kind of crap that’s begining to happen to fast food, the BS that made sure all toilets are low flow, the crap that will eventually make it impossible to have a big car without paying for “carbon offsets”.
Lets sue the bastards. No, really, let’s start suing Liberals for the nonsense perpetrated upon us in waves. maybe if we do enough John Edwards-ing, we’ll get to the point that they get back to being able to have actual discourse about issues and not be the kind of fanatical nimrods we face in the Democratic party every day.
Thoughts?

Nice thought.
How about something along the lines of a class action suit against those who wish to limit my free will.
Or “Pro-Choice”: I have the right to choose whateverthehell I want to stuff my face with, be it trans fats, cigars, booze, or a gun. Now leave me the hell alone.
Pro-Choice worked for wimmen, it should be extended to allow for any choice.
Wouldn’t it be simpler to just shoot the bastards?
But, barring that, I think you’re onto something, og. A class action suit on behalf of the Founding Fathers, who want their country back. Yeah. I can dig it…
I think we’re beginning to see a bit more of that — the recent RKBA decision in the Fifth Circus being one example.
However, I doubt we’ll ever even come close to tipping the scales with litigation. Why? Because it’s cheating.
Much of what the Left tries to get through the courts is rump legislation, harrassment, and the like. It should never be countenanced to begin with, and it is the judges who allow it.
And it goes against the Right’s grain.
So it seems to me that a better tactic might be to seek impeachment of judges who flout the law.
Not to say that there aren’t instances where yours would be an EXCELLENT idea. And more would be better.

hell, i’m a guy. more is always better. Plus, i’m talking about suing people who deserve it.
Well, lots of people deserve it. Like LBJ and HHH for the Great Society goat screw. Or Frank Church for our lousy intelligence services. Or Jimmy Carter for Islamofascist nutters’ being so virulent. Or Bill Clinton for giving the Red Chinese ICBM technology so they can hold the nuclear sword of Damocles over our heads. Or Jimmy Carter for giving away the Panama Canal. (Hey! A Twofer!)
But… Strategy is the wise husbanding of scarce resources.
Hell, I don’t need to tell you that.
I kinda like Joe Huffman’s approach. File complaints on the grounds that officials have conspired under official cover to deny us of our constitutional rights.
But it costs.
Did you see Tom De Lay’s
item on Townhall the other day?
Or was that one of the straws on your camel’s sacroiliac?

one of many
Personally, I’d rather cut their fucking throats and feed em to the critters.
Problem is, the vast majority of attorneys available for political lawsuits are liberals, and wouldn’t take a conservative’s case. In Oregon, there are about 3 decent conservative attorneys, and they are so busy doing work for conservative think-tanks that it’s hard to get a new case into their firms.
Sheer numbers of liberal attorneys doom this idea.
damn.
The low flow toilet. Nothing saves water like having to plunge and flush a new toilet 20 times, instead of twice for the wasteful old one. You throw a single t.p. square in, and you better reach for the plunger.
I’d rather see the carbon offset market sued for fraud. That’s how Algore can use so much electricity that you can use his meter’s blade to slice deli meats, yet maintain a zero carbon footprint. I’ve seen more honest tip boards in taverns than this. Trying to toss those plastic rings onto the glass bottles at the carny booths is less of a sucker bet. And at least Amway, the most reviled name in marketing, actually sells a product line, not some idiot’s mental construct that no one knows is for real or not.
Suing is expensive, and will get no where. Worse, you get hare-brained judges making decisions you never saw coming as they legislate from the bench. Best to just keep smacking them at the voting booth. People are just not mad enough yet. Liberals will overreach even more, and have their collective ass handed to them, and won’t even know why. They still can’t figure out why they lost to Bush twice.
I wholeheartedly agree. Class action suits sound about right to me.
I have to agree with Rivrdog; too many of the litigation and criminal attorneys are on the left. Ever notice how many left wing politicians used to be lawyers?
I like it. The judges will have less time to legislate from the bench if they have to preside over our lawsuits.
