Pushed it a bit too far
On purpose. last night I had a kids size gyros. Cut up fine, of course. And ate it until I started to feel the pain. So now I know exactly what I can and cannot eat, and I like it fine.
This is being easier and easier to adjust to. I am confident, for the first time., I’m gonna do well.

Glad to hear that. So tell us peons who don’t know anything about Gyros, how much can you eat in one setting, and how often are you supposed to eat?
Remember, you’re our walking, talking, living, breathing, science experiment now, whether you like it or not.
You’ll have to write out the whole thing from the start.
A Gyros is so named because it causes your intestines to gyrate and gyrate until you shit your guts all over the place. Actually, if you get a bad onem that is true. Gyros is a two foot long ten inch diameter sausage commonly made from beef and lamb, and it is shaved off the sausage (which is on a vertical spit) thin strips at a time. You pile a hunk of thin strips on a piece of Pita bread, which is like a taco shell with a hormone condition. You slide some raw onions and cucumber sauce over this, garnish with tomato wedges, fold in half and eat. A good one is a treat. A bad one…. well the intestinal gyrations apply. A kid sized gyro is about 1/4 lb total (including all the crap and the pita). I USED to be able to eat a pound of the meat on three or four pitas.
Now it makes sense.
Just be sure to take your vitamins. I mean it.
yeah, I do those liquid things. Taste like goat vomit filtered through the kidneys of a diabetic rottweiler.
Glad all is progressing well, Og.
You have my prayers, of course.
And yes, take your vitamins!
How exactly do you know what goat vomit filtered through the kidneys of a diabetic rottweiler tastes like? Another camping story perhaps?
All kidding aside, glad to hear you’re healing well.
Can’t wait to hear the weigh in results. You will be astonished !
swmbo
Still… it was real, solid food.
That had to be a treat!
I love gyros… mmmmmmm.
Mmmm indeed! Glad to hear it’s going that well (like Jean said, at least now you can eat stuff like that).
Gyros are one of those foods I crave now and then but, then, just as I finish one I realize my craving’s been satisfied for at least another 6 months. Pretty rich. (They really stink up the house too.)
I learned while working in the Greek restaurants that: 1) the (yummy) cucumber sauce is called tzi-tzi sauce; and 2) gyros just AREN’T the same without a few cubes of (real) feta cheese (the fake stuff sucks).
You just made me realize I’m about due for one!
Congratulations Og. Let us know when to start calling you SvelteOg.
Aaalllrighty then! Glad to hear you’re doing well.
